Eagle 1 Booster Club

Eagle 1 Club is Layton Christian Academy's parent booster club that helps grow and support our students' education. It is a voice for parents, guardians, and staff of students at Layton Christian Academy. Everyone with a child at the school is welcome to join for FREE! An Executive Board represents the General Membership and is directly responsible to the Head of School.
Purpose
The purpose of the Eagle 1 Booster Club is to promote the welfare of Layton Christian Academy and its community by providing support to the school, students, and families. The Eagle 1 Club recognizes that parents play a vital role in their children's educational experience. Through active engagement with the school and other parents, members of Eagle 1 Club contribute their skills and resources to foster collaboration, support, success, and strengthen the sense of community within he school.

Get Involved
Eagle 1 Booster Club meets once a month on the first Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM in Room E13. Meetings re subject to change (i.e., holidays, etc.). These meetings are open parents/guardians of children attending Layton Christian Academy.

There are many activities throughout the school year that need assistance with planning and executing. Also, becoming an elected officer or heading a committee will fulfill your service hour requirements.

Communication
Effective communication is essential for any organization to operate smoothly. At Eagle 1 Booser Club, we take pride in offering multiple channels of communication, recognizing that everyone has their own preferred way of receiving information and staying engaged.

Eagle 1 Booster Club encourages members to actively engage using these communication tools. However, we ask that they be used solely for sharing relevant booster club information, questions, comments, or concerns. Please be respectful and refrain from discussing personal matters. Those who do not follow these guidelines may be removed from the platform.

GroupMe App. Download the GroupMeAp on your mobile device to receive the latest updates from Eagle 1 and engage with other members. Teachers may opt to use the app as well as a form of communication.

Layton Christian Academy App. Download the Layton Christian Academy app for Resources & Handbooks, School Calendar, Upcoming Events, Athletics Schedule, and log your service hours.

Sign-Up Genius. Go to signupgenius.com to sign up for the many volunteer opportunities throughout the school year to get your service hours.
Service Hours - Frequently Asked Questions
The school year goes by so quickly and there are many activities that are in need of assistance and can help you reach your service hour requirement. Please see below for more information on service hour questions.

How many service hours do I need? Families enrolled in Preschool require 18 service hours. Families enrolled in Kindergarten through 12th Grade require 36 service hours. For example, if you have a preschool student and 1st grade student, then you will need 36 hours total.

How do I log my service hours? You can download the LCA App and select the "service" button to access the Service Hour Submission Form.

Where can I find more information on how to get service hours? Eagle 1 Club has a calendar of special events that is updated throughout the school year with the latest information and is distributed via email. Please reach out to eagle1club@lcaeagle.org to be added. Special events include, but are not limited to Grandparents's Day, School Carnival, Book Fair, Teacher Appreciation Week, and Field Day. Check the calendar to find out more.

Other activities that count towards service hours include field trips, class parties, and food for special events (1 service hour for every $10 spent). Teachers may have other ways you can help in the classroom, so reach out to them and they can assist you further.
