Thursday Notes: May 5th, 2022

Thursday Notes are here again for you! Not a lot of change from last week, but a few little tweaks here and there! Be sure to look through and make sure you are staying up on all the things taking place at LCA – especially as we wind down another great year together! Thanks so much for your continued love and support and we look forward to another great year together next year!

We are still reenrolling for the 2022-2023 school year! Thank you so much to the nearly 75% of you in our Preschool, Elementary, and Middle schools who have completed re-enrollment for next year! We are so excited to move forward together! If you haven’t reenrolled yet, it’s not too late! Be sure to log into your ParentsWeb account and complete re-enrollment today! Our INCREDIBLE Elementary students have been working hard on their musical presentation taking place tomorrow night, Friday, May 6th at 7 pm in the gym! You definitely don’t want to miss out – Dr. Roa and the students have been practicing tirelessly and prepared an amazing event for everyone! We hope to see you there!

National Teacher Appreciation week began Monday, May 2nd. Our school will be celebrating the NEXT week starting May, 9th.

Monday: Love You a Latte – bring your favorite teacher their favorite latte or morning beverage! (Sign up with Team LCA)

Tuesday: Noteworthy – write your favorite teacher a note or card about how special they are!

Wednesday: Dress Like Your Favorite Teacher Day – the name says it all — dress up like your favorite teacher!

Thursday: Show Some Love — give your favorite teachers a high five or a great big hug!

Friday: Bloom Where You’re Planted – bring your favorite teacher a flower or a plant to show how much you care!

Sign-ups will go out by email tonight – so keep your eyes peeled for that! If you have any specific questions, feel free to contact Team LCA at varicemonique@gmail.com

Graduation and Baccalaureate will take place at LCA on May 9th and May 11th. Baccalaureate will happen first on the 9th at 7 pm. Graduation will follow on the 11th at 8 pm in the gym. All students and parents are invited to join us for these special events to celebrate the Class of 2022!

Our 4th graders will participate in a Bible Contest on May 10th in the Children’s Center!

Field Day for Elementary will take place on May 13th from 1 pm-3:30 pm. Chaperones are needed for this event and service hours are given. If you are available to help, please let Mrs. Justice know at Angie.Justice@LCAeagle.org or you can sign up in the Main Office!

Our final Elementary School Store event will take place in the Children’s Center on May 12th! There’s still time to earn money for all students in their classrooms!

Preschool graduation will take place May 17th at 10 am in the Children’s Center. Kindergarten graduation will take place on May 18th at 9 am in the Children’s Center. For specific questions, please see your child’s teacher!

Attached is a flow chart for traffic here at LCA. If you are entering from the west or exiting to go west, please use the west entrance/exit. If you are entering from the east or exiting to go east, please do so using the east entrance/exit. Also, in the mornings, we have a “drive-thru” drop-off zone. This is for parents that are not exiting their car but just dropping off their students at the door. If you plan on getting out of the car with your student, please use the other lane to go around and park your vehicle in the parking spots. We want to keep our kids safe and appreciate you helping us to do so.
