  • Science and History Fairs

Team LCA offers many opportunities for parents to accrue service hours and helps make our programs a success!

Service Hours

Remember that each family is required to submit 36 service hours per school year, 18 service hours for preschool families.

If hours are not logged within 30 days of performance you may not receive credit. You will be informed if hours are not approved.

Each hour not completed, entered and approved will incur a $10 charge to your family bill.

School Citizenship and Discipline

In being consistent with biblical principles and good stewardship it is important that students be taught accountability for their actions. Citizenship grades are based on honesty, participation, cooperation, and responsibility. The following list includes, but is not limited to, ways in which citizenship is assessed:

  • LCA red eagle logo
    Following classroom rules
  • LCA red eagle logo
Cooperative and obedient in the classroom
  • LCA red eagle logo
Completing and turning in assigned work
  • LCA red eagle logo
In class on time and not tardy
  • LCA red eagle logo
    Prepared for class
  • LCA red eagle logo
Participating in classroom activities and discussions

Citizenship Codes: “H” Honors, “G” Good, “S” Satisfactory, “N” Needs Improvement, “U” Unsatisfactory

An unsatisfactory citizenship code “U” may result from any of the following combinations thereof:

  • LCA red eagle logo
Attendance: A “U” citizenship code may result from seven or more unexcused absences per term. A student is considered absent if he/she misses more than 20 minutes of one class
  • LCA red eagle logo
Tardiness: Three tardies per term per class will result in an “N.” Four or more will result in a “U” for that class during that current term.
  • LCA red eagle logo
Classroom Behavior: Should a student’s behavior in the classroom be consistently disruptive or otherwise out of order, the classroom teacher may issue a “U” for citizenship on midterm and/or term grade reports.
  • LCA red eagle logo
Other Negative Behavior: A member of the administration may issue a “U” for any negative behavior that is of a serious nature and/or inconsistent with LCA guidelines and principles. A loss of citizenship may also occur for any of the following actions: cheating, fighting, inappropriate language, violations of honor code, inappropriate displays of affection, repeat dress code violations, etc…

Student Life Summits (formerly Spiritual Emphasis Week)

As a Christian school, our main goal is to help students build a relationship with Jesus Christ. We do this through daily Bible classes, weekly Chapel services, and quarterly Student Life Summits, where two full days are spent immersed in prayer, team-building exercises, and God’s word.

See You At The Pole

LCA students come together for See You at the Pole, an annual meeting dedicated to public prayer. Students gather at the flagpole, usually at 9:00 am local time on the fourth Wednesday in September. This is a great place to connect with God, connect with other believers, and reconnect with your school in the name of Christ. This event is all about prayer; it’s about you coming together and laying aside all the labels and groups for one day, to simply connect with God in prayer and connect with fellow Christians in unity around the flag pole – whether jocks, preps, geeks, Methodists, Baptists, Catholics, sophomores, or seniors.

Mexico Missions

The Mexico Missions trips have been suspended for the last several years due to unsettled conditions in Mexico. We hope to resume these mission trips in the near future.
