Federico - Soccer Player and Senior
My name is Federico, I am an Italian exchange student that decided to spend a semester in the United States. I left my country at the end of December 2021. I went to Utah to study abroad at Layton Christian Academy. I live with a host family in Clearfield, about 20 minutes by car from the school. I am almost at the end of my experience, which will be over on May 23rd, when I will be on a plane, and going back to my home country.
These months have been a very important part of my life, an amazing experience that cannot be repeated. Since my first day at this school, I had the opportunity to know a lot of people from all over the world and learn lots of things about several cultures. I had the opportunity to do new and unforgettable things, like skiing in Utah with the school, visiting Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon with my host family, or just shopping in Salt Lake City with my friends. I tried several things that I couldn’t do in Italy, like going to the school Prom, shooting at the range, and watching an NBA match.
This program has been an incredible opportunity to learn how to face difficult moments alone. If I have the possibility to have a similar experience in the future, I will take it again for sure.
