Clara - Soccer player and Junior
My name is Clara Rosseto Pelegrina I’m Brazilian and 17 years old. I am a soccer player and a junior. I came to LCA to experience American life, improve my language skills, and have an opportunity to play a sport. By far, my experience here was great, of course, I encountered some difficulties along the way, such as culture, food, and others. But nothing compares to all the knowledge I had and the people I met here.
I bet everyone can imagine how difficult it would be, being away from home for so long and having to do everything on your own. Getting into the routine, in the beginning, was something new and very confusing, but over time I discovered how natural it is to deal with roommates, cook, clean the house, do the laundry, balance school grades and play sports. It’s a very intense routine, but in the end, it was all worth it and you realize how much you’ve learned.
My big dream has always been to play soccer in the United States, go to college, and find a way to keep playing. I am so grateful to LCA for giving me this opportunity to experience at least a part of my dream and connect with all the amazing people and cultures I met here.
