Anna - Cheerleader and Sophomore
Hi, my name is Anna Pfundtner and I am 15 years old. I am an exchange student from Germany, and I am currently studying at Layton Christian Academy as a sophomore. Looking back on this school year and all my experiences with LCA, all I can say is that this year was an unforgettable experience. I met my best friends from all over the world and got the opportunity to study and grow with them. I love LCA because we are all from different backgrounds, but we have the same goal to be successful in our studies and in sports. That’s what makes us unique.
One of my favorite activities was watching and cheering at football, basketball, and soccer games with all of my friends and as a cheerleader. I got the chance to go to every game and support my school and athletes with my cheer family. I loved every second of being a cheerleader, we made unforgettable memories while cheering at State tournaments. I also had the opportunity to take classes that I can not take in Germany like Marketing and Graphic design. I learned a lot in these classes and I had so much fun while working with new software like Photoshop, etc.
In general, I have learned a lot and my knowledge grew enormously. Not only has my English improved a lot but also my skills on how to study and be a good student. Being a good student gave me opportunities for my future because I got the chance to be part of the National Honor Society. We got the chance to get closer to God in beautiful ways as well. My personal highlights were the T212-days, where we talked about our relationship with God and had super fun workshops with our friends.
Going to LCA gave me a wonderful and huge loving family. I am so grateful for this year and I will always remember it. If I had to decide if I would do it again I would say yes with no single doubt in my mind.
