Let’s go Eagles!
TOMORROW – The LCA Eagles will take on the Kanab Cowboys for the 1A State Championship game at 10am at Utah Tech University! We are SO excited to watch our boys make school history with the first ever Football State Championship Title in 2022! We invite you to help us cheer them on via Livestream HERE! Good luck tomorrow, Eagles!! We are so proud of you!
Weekly Lunch Change
We are sad to announce that starting next Monday (November 14th, 2022) we will no longer be able to provide Chick-Fil-A as our lunch option. We are excited however that our catering company has agreed to do Mac and Cheese and Nuggets for us on a weekly basis. Any orders for Chick-fil-A will be deleted and you will need to go in and order the Mac and Cheese if you would like that.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Drop off & Pick up Protocol
As you’re likely already aware, we have done a large renovation to our parking lot and outside area this summer! We are so thankful for the Grant Funding that was made available to us to complete this project! Please notice during drop off each morning that there is a designated drop off lane for those letting kids out.
If you plan to park to drop off or pick up your child, please do so in the designated parking slots. Please do not park in the drop off lane and wait for your child.
Thank you for your help to make this a smooth and safe process for our children!
Elementary Reading Program
On Track Reading is in full swing! Students are doing great with their books/minutes and earning those fun prizes!!! If your student hasn’t started to read, it’s not too late! Be sure to have your student turn in their signed reading tracker so they can qualify for prizes and work towards a trophy and certificate when they reach 50 books or 1500 minutes! If you have questions, please contact your student’s teacher.
LCA Housing Needs
We know during the holidays sometimes people upgrade their furniture and don’t know what to do with theirs. We have a few more homes we need to furnish for our Residential Program. If you have gently used but in good condition furniture, please send us photos and maybe we can take it off your hands!
Thanks so much! We appreciate all you do to help with our ever growing program.

First Aid Kits + Service Hours
Another great way to earn those Service Hours — LCA classrooms are in need of a few more items to complete our classroom safety kits! Check out our sign up to see what items are needed. If you’d like to provide these items for our classrooms, service hours will be given at the rate of 1 hour per $10. Just sign up, bring in your item(s) with the receipt and hours will be added to your account!
You can find the sign up HERE!
LCA Holiday Needs + Service Hours
I know you think it might be too soon, but the holidays are right around the corner! We have over 200 international residential students currently that we need to provide a nice home cooked Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner for them to share in our traditions in America.
We are asking for your help as you are out and about shopping in the upcoming weeks and months. We will provide double service hours if you bring in the receipt for your purchase. Example: Donate a turkey that costs $25 and you would receive 5 service hours($50). Most of our houseparents will cook all of the items that you bring, but we would also accept the help of you cooking it in advance and dropping off that morning if you want to go the extra mile.
You can sign up to bring items HERE!
All (non-precooked) items for Thanksgiving would be needed by November 18 so we know what we would still need to purchase. If you are bringing fresh food (pies, breads, etc) or you want to prepare cooked items-please drop off on Wednesday, Nov 23 by 5pm.) We will do another follow up for the Christmas meal also.
This is very important to the kids and all our houseparents and a great way for you to earn easy service hours! Again, please email me if you are able to donate and what you will be able to bring.
Thanks again! We appreciate all you do to help us.
