Happy Snow Day!
We hope that you have stayed safe and warm on this snowy day in December! We are gearing up for the end of the semester and a long Christmas Break! Keep in mind there are still lots of things to come in these last few weeks – take a peek below at all the upcoming events so that you’re sure not to miss out on anything!
End of Semester + Christmas Break
We are quickly approaching the end of the 1st Semester – our school year is almost halfway over! It’s hard to believe. Just a few things to remind you of as we head into the home stretch:
December 16th will be a half day, dismissing at 11:30am. This is also the last day of 2nd Quarter.
All late work is due December 9th for Secondary students.
Classes will resume January 2nd, 2023 for the start of 3rd Quarter and 2nd Semester.
Teacher Christmas Gift Fund
In keeping with our yearly tradition, Team LCA will be collecting donations for our Teacher Gift Fund. For those of you who may be new to our school, every year we collect funds in hopes of blessing our Teachers and Staff with a special Christmas gift….the gift of cash! No need to worry about shopping for another gift and any amount is appreciated! In return for your generosity, you will earn service hours for your donation ( 1 service hour for every $10 dollars- limit of 7 hours). Team LCA will be sending out an email shortly with more information on how and where you can donate!
National Honor Society
NHS inductions will be held December 7th for Secondary (7th-12th) at 11:30am in the gym and December 9th for Elementary at 10:30am in the Children’s Center. Parents are invited to attend this ceremony for their students! If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Justice at Angie.Justice@LCAeagle.org and congratulations to all our new inductees!
High School will be taking a Ski Trip to Nordic Valley Ski Resort on December 10th at 9am. The cost is $50 and includes tickets, rentals and lessons for each students! Registration closes soon so be sure to sign up now! Register HERE!
Preschool & Kindergarten Christmas Programs
Our Preschool and Kindergarten classes are gearing up for their Christmas Programs on December 14th! The Preschool and PreKindergarten program will begin at 9:30am in the Children’s Center and Kindergarten will begin at 10:30am in the Children’s Center as well! We invite friends and loved ones to join us for this very special day as our kiddos show off all their hard work and learning so far this year! See you there!
Elementary Christmas Program
Our Elementary Christmas Program will be held for grades 1st-6th on December 15 at 7pm in the gym. More details will follow for each student’s specific grade from their teachers. We hope to see you all there!
Drop off & Pick up Protocol
As you’re likely already aware, we have done a large renovation to our parking lot and outside area this summer! We are so thankful for the Grant Funding that was made available to us to complete this project! Please notice during drop off each morning that there is a designated drop off lane for those letting kids out. If you plan to park to drop off or pick up your child, please do so in the designated parking slots. Please do not park in the drop off lane and wait for your child.
Thank you for your help to make this a smooth and safe process for our children!
LCA Housing Needs
We know during the holidays sometimes people upgrade their furniture and don’t know what to do with theirs. We have a few more homes we need to furnish for our Residential Program. If you have gently used but in good condition furniture, please send us photos and maybe we can take it off your hands!
Thanks so much! We appreciate all you do to help with our ever growing program.
