Kindergarten

Welcome to LCA Full-Day Kindergarten

In our K-3 program, your children will have daily, hands-on activities that develop academic skills while enhancing social skills. In our K4, your children will experience daily, hands-on activities and centers with a curriculum designed to prepare children to launch into learning! We here at LCA are committed to bringing the highest quality of early childhood education and care for your children and your family. We follow the state core-curriculum closely and update regularly so that our students will meet the standards and are ready to enter Kindergarten.

It is a fact that children who are in Early Childhood Education, experience hands-on activities and develop social skills, test higher on their standardized achievement tests in their high school years. You, as a parent, are making a valuable investment in your child’s life by enrolling your child in Early Childhood Education. Let us here at LCA help double your investment not only academically, but spiritually.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your child’s growth and development!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Angie Justice
Elementary Principal

Welcome to Kindergarten

Starting school is a wonderful and exciting experience for your child. This milestone event can mean big changes for your whole family. In German, the word “Kindergarten” literally means “child’s garden”. It is a place where your child will grow and learn. Teachers here at LCA deeply care about each individual child that enters our school. There is a strong bond build between many students and teachers, so it’s not uncommon to see teachers and children from other classes interacting with each other. Teachers also fell that when enrolling your child in our school, you are becoming a part of our “family” and not just another student.

Advantages of a Full Day Program

Children Can Learn at Their Own Pace

Why a full day instead of just a half day? All children learn at their own speed. Although everyone will be taught at the same time, it doesn’t mean that every child will retain all the information given. With a full day of learning, we can push away frustration, and come back to it at a later time.

Achieve a Jumpstart on Their Education

At LCA kindergarteners achieve a jumpstart on their educational beginning and start their elementary years with a huge advantage over their peers, all in a nurturing, Christian environment.

Special Guests

To continue learning about our community, many of our community leaders visit our classrooms to teach us important information. We are also blessed to have special guests from other countries come and tell us about their corner of the world.

More Topics Can be Explored

Full day programs let the kids learn about art, music, physical education, Spanish, and even computers. The most important benefits of a full day of learning is being able to bond with your classmates and teachers. The students are able to learn together through ‘hands on training’ and feel more comfortable in the classroom.

Field Trips

The fun is never ending in Kindergarten. We believe field trips are an important part of the learning process. We enjoy visiting places such as:

  • Pumpkin Patch
  • Movie Theaters
  • Local Zoo’s
  • Trout Farm
  • Discovery Centers

We have even learned how to make our own pizzas for lunch in previous years!
