We are BACK with Thursday Notes at LCA! This is a quick snapshot each week to keep you up to date with things happening! Make sure to take a look through to stay informed of all things LCA!
We are monitoring the Coronavirus situation along with the rest of the world. Our first priority is the health and security of our students. We will be working to minimize the educational impact of this situation, while at the same time being diligent in doing what we can do to prevent the potential spread of the virus along with monitoring for any signs of the illness so we can properly care for the students.
“To everything, there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven.”Ecclesiastes 3:1 Here’s a little reminder today: God is faithful to keep His promises. If He said He will do it, then He will. It seems that God rarely turns up on our time, but He ALWAYS honors His. And as He does, at that moment, we discover His timing is invariably perfect.
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock” (Isaiah 26:3-4)The Hebrew word for the phrase “stayed on” that’s used in this verse is Samak, which means “to brace, uphold, support.” In other words, those with minds fully braced, upheld, and supported by Truth and trust in God will be kept in perfect peace. The English phrase “perfect peace” means an “all-embracing peace.” It is God giving us the strength internally to face whatever comes our way externally.
The new year is here – 2020! And we are off to a great start! So many of you are newly joining us this semester and we want to take a quick moment to say, “Welcome to the family! We are so glad you’re here!” Whether you’re new to Layton or joining us from around the world, we hope you find a warm and inviting place to call home here at LCA!
We hope and pray you had a blessed Christmas with your friends and family and are looking forward to a great New Year and a wonderful 2020! We are so happy to have you as a part of our LCA family and continue to pray for God’s best for you and yours as we enter the New Year together! We love you!
On December 3, LCA hosted its annual Science Fair for grades 3, 5, 7, 9 & 11. Students in these grades worked together to put together projects on a variety of scientific topics.
